The Îles de la Madeleine region is home to several fishing ports, but that of Cap-aux-Meules, which is located on the Cap-aux-Meules Island, is particular. In addition to facilitating offshore and inshore fishing as well as the transportation of sea products, this port is the arrival and departure point of transportation ships.
It is used to receive the necessary merchandises for the Islanders' daily lifes or to allow tourists and inhabitants of the Islands to go to the continent or to the Islands. It is also a place for boat or inflatable dinghy excursions, whether you want to go fishing or to observe birds, caves and cliffs.
