Finally, in the village of Fatima, a hiking and a cycling trail are available along the cliffs. Take the Sentier d’interprétation Le Barachois, which will lead you to Cap-Vert and will make you discover the unique wetlands of the Islands. For those who prefer lying in the sun, the Digue and Pedalo beaches attract many swimmers. On the island, the Butte du Vent offers an exceptional view on the archipelago. In July, the Festival Sable-Eau-Vent will give you the chance to enjoy the warm summer days while attending acrobatic kite shows, rokkaku kite fighting shows, hang gliding of many colours and night hang gliding. Fatima is also the host of the fête de la Mi-Carême (Mid-Lent celebration) in March. A large costumed parade takes place in the streets, and music and costumes make the joy of young and old.
