In the village of Havre-Aubert, you can find the Association culturelle de Havre-Aubert which presents the Théâtre “Mes Îles, Mon Pays” (My Islands, my Country). This show will make you discover the history of the Islands. On the Havre-Aubert beach, you can attend the annual Concours annuel de Châteaux de sable or the concours de construction de petits bateaux. It’s also in this municipality that you can visit the Centre nautique de l’Istorlet, which offers all kinds of water activities such as sea kayak excursions in and around the caves and cliffs, boat excursions to observe lighthouses and sea mammals or snorkelling with seals.
The most important attraction in Havre-Aubert is without any doubt the Site Historique de La Grave, a small shingle beach where fisheries and commerce were once established. On this site, you will get the chance to visit the Aquarium des Îles where you can observe seals, fish, shellfish and molluscs. In Cap Gridley, the Musée de la Mer presents a permanent exhibition called “Les Laboureurs du Golfe” as well as temporary exhibitions concerning different themes. On this island, you will also find Amerindian sites, good restaurants, cultural activities, shops, cafés and of course, a beautiful nature.
