The islands of Grosse Île and de la Grande Entrée are the last inhabited islands of the archipelago. You will find here the most beautiful examples of preserved natural environments of the Îles de la Madeleine. Grosse-Île offers you a gorgeous national reserve as well as a salt mine, while Grande Entrée is rather interested in mussel breeding. Just like Entry Island, Grosse-Île is an island that is mostly inhabited by English-speaking people and where inhabitants are absolutely attached to their distinctive culture.
Grande Entrée is, for its part, inhabited by French-speaking people. Both islands offer beautiful beaches. The landscape from the panoramic road is worthy of the most dazzling postcards. Moreover, not far from these islands, you can visit île Brion and the Rocher-aux-Oiseaux. These two islands, which are uninhabited and not linked with the others by the road, represent what the archipelago was like when it was discovered: a landscape practically untouched by Man.
